Christian Yoga Winter Session: Jan 2 - Mar 8, 2012
Because the Bible teaches us that our “body is the temple of the Holy Spirit,” 1 Corinthians 6:19, Parkwood offers this Christ-centered, health oriented ministry. The Christian Yoga class takes the best elements out of hatha yoga and brings them into an environment that glorifies Christ.

The classes include instruction in postures to increase flexibility and strength, and conscious breathing and relaxation. Each session begins by the instructor reading a verse from the Bible and closes with a Scriptural devotional. It is totally Christ centered. Classes are held once a week and last 1.5 hours. Both men and women are welcome.

Marylyn Mandeville is our instructor. Marylyn is a member of Parkwood who has received her yoga teaching certification and has been teaching yoga at Fairfax County recreation centers and at Parkwood for several years.

Martial Arts Ministries
This is a new event at PBC, and will be offered on Monday nights from 4:00-6:15!
The program is taught from a Christian world view and is void of all Eastern philosophy.  Scripture memory is a required part of the program at advanced levels.
Classes are offered for students ages five through adult.
We encourage families to participate together.  As a class, we will work hard and seek to live lives of integrity for the benefit of those around us and to the glory of God.
If you are interested please contact Craig Hubler, or visit the Martial Arts Ministries website.
