The WEE Center provides developmentally appropriate learning and social experiences in an environment where children are loved, lives are enriched, and God is glorified. Children in the WEE Center are exposed to a variety of activities to promote their spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth. The WEE Center staff use a Christian-based curriculum designed to provide an early childhood program that supports the individuality of each child. Children have freedom with a structured framework to explore and learn. In addition to regular classroom activities, our program offers a daily music class, weekly enrichment classes, as well as monthly science and chapel lessons.
All of our teachers have felt a calling to work with young children. Our staff is chosen for their commitment to living a Godly life, their training and teaching experience, their commitment to continued learning, and their love and sensitivity to the needs of each individual child.

Our Office Hours: Tuesday - Friday from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Because the Bible teaches us that our "body is the temple of the Holy Spirit,"
1 Corinthians 6:19, Parkwood offers this Christ-centered health oriented ministry. The Christian Yoga class takes the best elements out of hatha yoga and brings them into an environment that glorifies Christ. The classes include instruction in postures to increase flexibility and strength, and conscious breathing and relaxation. Each session begins by the instructor reading a verse from the Bible and closes with a Scriptural devotional. It is totally Christ centered.
Marylyn Mandeville is our instructor. Marylyn is a member of Parkwood who has received her yoga teaching certification and has been teaching yoga at Fairfax County recreation centers and at Parkwood for several years.

What a great VBS week!
127 children were enrolled and
average attendance was 119!
We also averaged 61 workers every day!
The kids and families gave $564 to buy
over-the-counter medicines to support medical mission teams. The most important number is one only God knows: how many young hearts were changed forever because
of VBS. We did see evidence of changed lives - and we give God the glory!
